Our program is self-paced. You proceed through the course depending on your experience and prior knowledge of the material.

The participant progresses through the course by completing the modules successfully.  You will be awarded a Certificate of Completion of the Medical Interpreter Program upon successful completion of all the modules.

5.  Oral Skills Evaluation: $80.00 (Repeat exam $50.00)

Medical Interpreting Certificate for Licensed Health Care Professionals

For MD, PA, ARNP, RN, LSW, PT, OT, etc.

Requirements: Licensure in the US. Must complete 21 contact hours of the program. Credit will be given for 25 hours of Anatomy and Medical Terminology, or may take the Challenge Exam.

Required modules:

Standards of Medical Interpreting

Ethics for Medical Interpreters

Roles of the Medical Interpreter

Oral Skills Evaluation (or Practicum Evaluation)

One or 2 electives: Cultural Competency, Understanding the Hispanic Population, Cultural Awareness, etc.

1. Anatomy and Medical Terminology 25-50 hours
2. Interpreter Standards 8 hours
3. Ethical Standards 6 hours
4. Roles of Interpreters 8 hours
5. Practicum Evaluation OR
   Oral skills Evaluation

Extra bonus: One other online module of your choice.

Interpreter Skills Video Evaluation ($75.00): Included if purchasing the PrePaid Package.
Prepaid Package Program must be completed within 6 months. Additional fee of $49.00 per month if extended beyond 6 months.

Challenge Exam for the Anatomy and Medical Terminology

If you have a medical background but not licensed in the US, you may take the challenge exam for Anatomy and Medical Terminology.
This means you will take the exam that would test your knowledge of what we offer in our program.

Then you will receive a Certificate of Proficiency in Anatomy and Medical Terminology. Credit for 25 hours: $150.00
