Refund, Withdrawal, Suspension, Dismissal Policies
 

Our number one goal is to help you complete the course. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know and I am always willing to work with you to make sure that your learning needs are met.

Completing the payment processing means that you agree to our Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy.

The Refund Policy and Terms and Conditions are subject to change. You are responsible for keeping current with terms and policies.

CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS:

Certificate of Completion requirements: At least 90% passing grade in all quizzes, tests, or exams, and Satisfactory grade in all assignments starting with the first lesson. Please refer to your Program Plan or course for details.

Refer to your Program Information for specific details on remedial course work and referrals.

REFUNDS and Other Fees:

TRIAL PLAN:
Trial Plan fees are not refundable.

WEEKLY PLAN or MONTHLY PLAN:
The first payment of the Weekly Payment Plan or the Monthly Payment Plan is not refundable.

SINGLE COURSE:
If you sign up for one course only: You may receive a refund if you are unable to access the course within 24 hours of registration. You must notify me as soon as possible if you have problems logging in to the course. If you are able to access the course that you paid for, there is no refund.

PROGRAM PLANS

All certificate programs are of limited time completion. Enrollment in a Program Plan allows you access to lessons, tests, and assignments for the time period specified in your program plan, based on satisfactory performance of each lesson. Refer to your Program Plan requirements for course completion details. Continuing beyond your program plan requires an Extension Fee and/or reinstatement fee.

Cancellation within 24 hours of registration:
If you purchase a Program Package, you may cancel your program within 24 hours if you are not able to access the first lesson sent by email. Your full fee will be refunded. If you have received access to the Elearn Portal and/or Language Pack, your fee will be refunded less $50.00 access charge.

Cancellation after 24 hours of registration:
If you cancel your Program Plan after 24 hours of registration, there is a $70.00 cancellation charge. In addition, you will be charged 10% of the Program Plan fee for every day that you had access to the course. The 10% charge does not apply if you were not able to access the course.

No refunds will be made after 1 week of starting any program.

CANCELLATION OF PAYMENTS:
If you cancel your subscription plan (2-payment, monthly, or other installment plans), your account will be deleted and you would no longer be able to access any of the lessons. If you would like to continue with the program, you would have to re-apply and pay the reinstatement fee and start the program from the beginning. No records of your participation will be saved.

MONTHLY EXTENSION FEE:

You will pay the current monthly extension fee for the time period of your extension plan.

Monthly extension may be allowed based on program and mentor availability. In addition, student must be in Active Status, or must have completed Part 1. If you are in Inactive Status, or have not completed Part 1, you would have to apply for Monthly Extension and your application will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Monthly Extension after 3 months (for the 3-month program) is not guaranteed if a student is Inactive, and requires application and approval for course extension and based on mentor's availability, program's availability, language pack availability and other factors.

A student is limited to 3 Monthly Extensions in the Program Plan. The Program must be completed within the three extension periods. Active and Inactive students requesting Monthly Extension must submit a written Learning Plan approved by their mentor to complete the program within the extension period and be expected to comply with the Learning Plan, and subject to the Suspension Policy.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE (LOA):
You may request a LOA if you would not be able to log in for an extended period of time. Your account must be current and all fees that are due must be paid before you go on LOA. We must receive a request in writing within 5 days of your LOA date, and the specific dates of LOA. LOAs are for monthly periods or 30 days. You are responsible for requesting access to the course by paying the current Reinstatement Fee after LOA. Monthly access fees would not accrue during the LOA period. You would then complete any new requirements and subject to the new fees that were instituted during your absence.

TECHNICAL SUSPENSION:
We reserve the right to put accounts in Suspension if overdue fees are not paid within 20 days. You will pay a reinstatement fee when you start back after Technical Suspension. You must pay the reinstatement fee and request to access the program. This may take up to 48 hours to process.

After 20 days of no payment for overdue fees, we may delete your account and you would have to re-apply to the program and pay the Reinstatement fee and any additional fees to keep your account current at the time of reinstatement. You would be required to follow your mentor/instructors recommendations to continue with the program.

ACTIVE/INACTIVE STATUS
Active Status: A student is submitting assignments, tests, quizzes and other requirements in the last 3-week period.

Inactive Status: A student who has not completed one lesson in a 3-week period will be placed in Inactive Status. In order to continue with the course, you must obtain approval from your mentor. You may need to complete and/or pass additional requirements based on your mentor's assessment. Some or all of the requirements may include additional fees.

ACADEMIC SUSPENSION

We may suspend your account if you have not completed one lesson in at least 60 days. After account suspension, you would pay the Reinstatement Fee and complete any new or additional requirements that were instituted during your absence. After account suspension, you would need to agree to a new Program Plan for completion within your extension period.

A student may be placed in Academic Suspension for failure to obtain passing grade on tests and assignments. During Academic Suspension, the student may not submit any new assignments or take any tests or participate in any other activities other than the current lesson's activities.

Failing grade in tests/exams/quizzes, or less than Satisfactory Feedback for assignments must be remediated within a 2-week time-period. Student must comply with their mentor's recommendations for improvement which may include one-on-one coaching, language coaching, formal language assessment, signing up for tutoring, referral to another mentor, and or other program services that may require additional fees or referral to third party service providers. If student declines mentor's recommendations, student may submit an alternate plan for improvement and demonstrate satisfactory performance within a 2-week period. Continuing beyond the 2-week period will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

DISMISSAL

Student may be dismissed for failure to follow the Program Plan after Suspension. Student will have 30 days to demonstrate progress in the program after Account or Academic Suspension.
Student may be dismissed from the program for declining to participate in learning activities recommended by the assigned mentor in order to improve performance. Refer to the Suspension Policy for Academic Suspension.
Student may be dismissed from the program for violating any of our Terms of Service, Program Policies, and other course-specific policies.

TERMINATION

We may terminate your account if you have not completed one lesson in a 90 day period. After account termination, you would have to re-apply and pay the new fees and follow the new requirements.

SUBSTITUTION is allowed. You may allow another person to take your place in the program if you are unable to complete the program. You must request this service within 2 weeks of registration. The other person will have to apply and meet the requirements before they can take your place. They will have to take the course from the beginning. There is a $100.00 Processing Fee (nonrefundable) for this service. Please let me know if this is an option for you.
